I am looking for someone to share my office. I am also open to moving offices (within Oakland).

The office is in a large shared office suite with 4 other offices, a common room, and a conference room. My art-filled sunny office (south facing window) is approximately 8 ft by 11 and 1/4 ft with 9 or 10 ft ceilings.

You would have your own key to the suite and our office, and 24-7 access. Every semester I am out one full day usually Tues or Thurs, and half day Friday. The space is small for two people to be on the phone at the same time, but there is ample space in the suite to take calls elsewhere. As I perform confidential legal work in the office, familiarity with client confidentiality is desired.

Rent is $258.74. Landlord will increase rent by CPI January 1. Rent includes printing/scanning, postage meter use (postage separate), efax, shared bathroom, kitchenette, access to shared conference room, Wi-Fi, janitorial services, utilities, security and mailbox. At this time there is a desk and chair available, but those can be moved out.

We are at 1201 Martin Luther King Jr Way at 12th St., in a beautiful and sunny Victorian building in Oakland’s historic Preservation Park district. The office is are surrounded by quaint buildings and lush landscaping and a gorgeous fountain with benches to sit on http://preservationpark.com/home/. The suite/office is ADA accessible with a ramp. It is a 5 minute walk from Oakland’s City Center BART station and 1 block from the freeway. There is free street parking on nearby blocks. We park our bikes inside. The primary tenant is Radical Designs: a worker-owned cooperative, that provides web development and web hosting services to nonprofits and grassroots social justice organizations. There will also be 2 larger offices (one with 2 desks, one with 4 desks) opening. http://radicaldesigns.org will have information about the other offices.
